Live-Streamed CEU Webinar (Online) **MUST ATTEND Live Webinar during the entire class time to receive CEU credit. No Exceptions.**
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern neuroscience to address neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. By understanding the role of the Jing Jin (sinew channels), it delves into how TCM integrates with the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The course examines spasticity as an indicator of chronic sympathetic dominance and its interference with the brain's natural neuroplasticity. It offers both technique-focused and pathomechanism-focused approaches, enabling practitioners of all styles to leverage neuroplasticity in their treatments. New approaches utilizing the sinew channels provide methods visible to both patients and practitioners, allowing for a more objective evaluation of treatment outcomes. This holistic methodology places TCM at the forefront of modern medical science, addressing conditions such as spasticity, demyelinating diseases, and trauma through a blend of ancient wisdom and contemporary science.
Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Polyvagal Theory (PVT), including the role of sympathetic dominance or chronic "fight-flight-freeze" in chronic degenerative diseases and orthopedic conditions.
Learn to seamlessly integrate TCM principles with PVT to develop holistic treatment plans for patients with spasticity, demyelinating diseases, and trauma.
Learn practical techniques for all styles of TCM, including Community, Zang-Fu and TCM practitioners, Acusport and Trigger Point styles, and TJM or Meridian therapy.
Explore real-world case studies that demonstrate the successful treatment of neurological conditions and trauma using TCM and PVT through the sinew channels (Jing Jin).
Learn how TCM practitioners can leverage ancient medicine to be at the forefront of modern neuroscience, harnessing neuroplasticity for the treatment of neurogenic diseases. Gain new insights from modern neurology, myofascial therapy, and trauma work to improve patient outcomes.
