Douglas S. Wingate, L.Ac. earned his Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in 2011. He maintains a private practice in Portland, Oregon and works as an adjunct professor performing acupuncture in the neurology department of Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).
Douglas S. Wingate specializes in the treatment of concussion and brain injury. He is the author of "Healing Brain Injury with Chinese Medical Approaches: Integrative Approaches for Practitioners" and "Circuits and Shen: Models of the Evolution of Consciousness and Chinese Medicine." Douglas is also involved in research through the Oregon Health and Science University in treatment protocols for peripheral and polyneuropathies. He has volunteered with and served on the board of multiple non-profits in the Portland area serving veterans and individuals living with effects of brain injuries.
