COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The first recorded “tradition” of Chinese medicine is found in the Shang Han Lun (SHL), which dates back to the Han Dynasty (200-220 A.D.). It is said that if illness is not treated properly then it will move through the body in a predictable way through the Six Stages. The Six Stages are Tai Yang, Yang Ming, Shao Yang, Tai Yin, Shao Yin, and Jue Yin. SHL is a theory of an invasion of the body by external factors which may lead to internal illness if left untreated.
Participants will learn an overview of the physiological and pathological understanding of the Six Stages as described in the SHL as a channel continuum. What sets this course apart from other SHL courses is that it will be presenting an understanding of the pathology and physiological response as these things move through the channels so that they are not simply groups of memorized symptoms categorized as a particular level in the theory but rather explain how these effects move through a channel system from one channel system to the next so that physicians of Chinese medicine can then be able to follow progression and project progression of a pathology.
Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:
To foster an understanding of the Shang Han Lun theory as a channel continuum
Understand how each layer works together physiologically and how things progress patholologically
Learn how to differentially diagnoses and treat patients with acupuncture using Shang Han Lun theory
Understand more clearly channel and point selection based on Shang Han Lun theory

I bought the Gold pass and took both part one and part two. How do I get back to the class notes and quizzes, which were delayed to complete this class?
Thank you! It was intense, Lisa Chan 310-880-5267, healingnrg3@hotmail.com
