COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Dave Shipsey, an acupuncturist with over 15 years specializing in Abdominal Acupuncture, shares how to treat all types of painful conditions using this incredibly powerful, yet very gentle system. The abdomen is recognized as our second brain and has the largest number of nerve cells next to the brain. As a result it has immense control over our emotional well-being as well as our overall health, and immunity. The abdomen produces about 90% of all serotonin, a hormone responsible for mood, sleep, learning, and blood pressure. Abdominal acupuncture therefore has far reaching affects and helps to relieve depression, anxiety and other emotional issues.

In Part I of this course, Dave will take you through a step-by-step process of treating patients and clients effectively with Abdominal Acupuncture, share the map of abdominal points, patterns and important landmarks, and the meaning of nodes and nodules (ashi points). This course is designed to help practitioners assimilate each stage in a logical and systematic way so that they can successfully treat a variety of conditions.
