COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The groin is an area that presents considerable diagnostic challenges, mainly because it is an area of the body that most practitioners tend to avoid treating locally. Groin pain may be local (caused by tissues in the groin) or remote (referred from elsewhere).
In this course, you will learn how to diagnosis and treat both types of groin pain as David Legge, an osteopath, acupuncturist, and author of Close to the Bone, goes over the anatomy, diagnostic methods, pathology, and treatment protocols using local trigger point needling and distal needling. More specifically, you will learn orthopedic exams that help determine the type of groin pain, as well as trigger points that refer pain to the groin. Orthopedic and needling demonstrations will be performed throughout the day for an optimal learning experience.
