COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this comprehensive course, you will learn how to assess and treat gut dysfunction using a holistic approach that integrates nutrition, herbs, and functional medicine. By combining modern physiology, Chinese medical analysis, and a whole foods nutrition approach, you will gain the skills needed to heal and seal the gut, ultimately restoring the crucial gut-liver axis. The course will cover the anatomy and physiology of the digestive system, delve into herbal treatments, and explore the role of nutrition in correcting digestive dysfunction. Emphasis will be placed on nutritional interventions, supported by appropriate supplementation and herbs. Topics will include gastrointestinal health, western medical perspectives, alongside foundational theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This course is part one of an engaging four-part series offered by Dr. Shark, where each class builds upon the previous one to deepen your expertise. For the best learning experience, it is recommended to take them in chronological order.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Utilize modern physiological diagnostics and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) analysis to identify various forms of gut dysfunction.
  • Examine the anatomy and physiology of the gut-liver axis and explore how disruptions in this relationship can lead to digestive and systemic health issues.
  • Apply the principles of whole foods nutrition and herbal treatments to heal the gut and enhance digestive health.
  • Integrate herbal treatments with nutritional strategies to improve gut function and restore the gut-liver axis effectively.
