COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Unlock the power of Ba Gua Scalp Acupuncture—an easy-to-learn, highly effective technique with a wide range of applications. Whether you're treating internal medicine conditions, trauma, or neuro-sensory disorders traditionally addressed by scalp acupuncture, this method delivers fast, reliable results. Skip the overwhelming study of countless texts and jump straight into practical application with our comprehensive course.
Since its rise in the 1970s, Chinese scalp acupuncture has evolved into numerous schools of thought, each offering unique treatment areas, functions, and needle techniques. Our course focuses on the Ba Gua Head Acupuncture method, rooted in the ancient Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams of the I Ching. By combining these with head meridians and acupuncture points, this approach uses the trigrams, Five Elements, and corresponding meridians and organs to select the ideal points for treatment, offering a powerful tool for healing.
This class was originally given by Dr. Sung Weng-Ching, the esteemed Director of Taiwan's Zhishan Chinese Medicine Clinic, this course distills over 40 years of clinical experience into practical, easy-to-follow lessons. Tina Chen will be presenting this class in English with Dr. Sung joining in in the final hour to answer questions.
Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:
Understand the foundational principles of Ba Gua Scalp Acupuncture, including its origins, key concepts, and the integration of trigrams, meridians, and Five Elements in treatment.
Learn to effectively locate and needle primary scalp acupuncture points, using the Ba Gua method to treat a range of neuro-sensory and internal medicine conditions.
Understand how to apply Ba Gua Scalp Acupuncture in clinical practice, mastering advanced Qi manipulation and needle techniques for treating trauma, neurological disorders, and internal conditions.
Confidently integrate Ba Gua Scalp Acupuncture with other complementary therapies, such as trauma treatment and herbal medicine, to optimize patient outcomes.
