Master Tung's Dao Ma - Dr. Brad Whisnant
What Richard Tan Balance System do you use for pain???
There are 6 different systems but I often find myself guessing with trial and error which system works for pain on different areas of the body. But I learned today in Brad's webinar that I can sit back and relax a bit! Whew! I won't give all the secrets away, you can watch it here: Watch the Aug 22 1-hr Webinar Here!! Brad explains it way better than I can so I'll let him tell you his little secret!
Here are some Dao Ma points Brad talked about during yesterday's webinar. These are my notes so take them or leave them, modify them, or however you like!
Three Emperors -
1 1/2 cun below SP 9, 7 cun up from medial malleous, right around SP 6
Needle on spleen channel
Tonify KD to fix the Spleen!
Use for diabetes, shoulder pain, upper neck pain, energy, etc.
Someone asked if you would needle bilaterally. Susan Johnson has mentioned previously that she needles bilateral for internal problems.
ST44 ~ST43
Men Jin is at the tighter juncture of the base of the 2nd & 3rd metatarsal. More tendons, more muscles, more nerves, more innervation! 2nd point is ST 44, 3rd is in between the two.
Use for allergies. ST channel goes to the face! stomach pain. Also for Taiyang headache. Probably one of the best points for stuffy nose!
44.01 straight spine 3 needles (Maher)
Great for back pain
Shoulder =hip
Scapula =sacrum
Edge of scapula is side of sacrum, PSIS
To help other practitioners, I'll be posting on this blog like it's my dairy after each weekday webinar so I'll try my best to get the most important fact and if I ever miss anything, you can always catch it on the TCM Wisdom Tube.
See you at the next webinar!! ~ Donna

There are 6 main acupuncture systems, but determining which to use for pain relief can be tricky. Brad offered guidance to simplify the process. The difficulty may be adjusted, which is one of the fascinating features of the bad time simulator.
