Dr. Shi-Hong Loh, a native of Taiwan, received comprehensive medical training in both Eastern and Western Medicine before relocating to the United States. In 1986, he completed his oncology fellowship at Downstate Medical Center (SUNY) and promptly established a private practice.
From 1986 to 2006, Dr. Loh held the esteemed position of Chief in the Hematology and Oncology Division at St. Mary Hospital in Hoboken, NJ. In addition to his administrative role, he actively engaged in teaching medical residents. Notably, he introduced acupuncture as a therapeutic modality for cancer patients, providing relief from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Further contributing to alternative and complementary therapies, Dr. Loh served as the Medical Director of the Department of Alternative/Complementary Therapy at St. Mary Hospital from 1998 to 2003. During this tenure, he applied acupuncture techniques to enhance and regulate the immune systems of over 350 HIV patients.
An esteemed member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, Dr. Loh holds board certification from the American Board of Medical Acupuncture. Presently, he dedicates himself entirely to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at his thriving medical acupuncture practice in both Hoboken and Hackensack, NJ.
