Roberta Jean Leong, L.Ac. is a clinician, author and instructor; she has been a continuously licensed acupuncturist in California since 1985 and therefore a very experienced practitioner. Her mentor was Miriam Lee, and she had the unique opportunity to frequently observe treatment in the legendary clinician’s practice over a period of years. Jean’s mother worked as Dr. Lee’s secretary, and during her high school years Jean would often observe many treatments in the clinic before or after school, where she saw astounding results. In 1980 Jean earned her B.A. in Psychology from UCB, and her B.S. (Acupuncture) from SAMRA University in 1984.
For many years Jean did primary health care in Pleasant Hill, CA at her multi-disciplinary clinic, The Wellness Place. There she provided patient care, including exams, diagnosis and treatment – gave acupuncture, prescribed new individualized herbal remedies, offered dietary guidance and taught qigong to help patients. She has also offered CEU seminars to LAc’s as an accredited California CEU provider. In 2007 she sold her offices. Jean is semi-retired and has relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she is on the faculty of Wongu University. She currently teaches qigong to semi-private groups.
