Doctor Noelle Potash's career path began as a fine artist oil painter, but after having her first child she desired another way to be of service to both her family and her community. At the time, she was struggling with Crohn's disease, and acupuncture and herbal medicine were the only things able to help her get into remission. Laying on the treatment table, she was inspired to go to school and learn this new form of art.
While studying acupuncture at the school of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Doctor Potash had the wonderful opportunity to mentor with Naoki Kubota Sensei, and also study herbal medicine with Dr. Chris Cannon. Upon graduation, she still felt there was much to learn, so she enrolled at the Pacific College of Health and Science to complete her Doctorate. At the same time, she mentored with Dr. Steven Wong in Chinese Herbalism to strengthen her foundational understanding of Chinese herbs.
In her clinic, Doctor Potash noticed that a lot of patients were self-prescribing with cannabis, and aside from Hou Ma Ren, she didn't really understand how this was affecting her patients. So she enrolled again at the Pacific College of Health and Science into their Masters of Medical Cannabis Therapeutics class to better understand how cannabis works therapeutically.
Sprinkled through the timeline, Doctor Potash has transitioned her acupuncture style to more of a Traditional Japanese Medicine style through the guidance of her mentor Maya Suzuki and through studying in Japan. She is an RYT200 yoga instructor and has also been certified in Foundational Hypnotherapy, taking an interest in Pediatric Hypnotherapy and integrating that with her Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine practice.
She has a passion for family medicine, emotional/mental well-being, and digestive disorders. Currently, Doctor Potash has a clinic in San Isidro del General in Costa Rica.
