After leaving western MD medicine at the end of 1997, Dr. Carruth contemplated his medical career for several years before deciding in 2005 that he wanted to practice a different form of medicine, that he still enjoyed patient contact and addressing patients' health care needs.
He is quite grateful that this led him to Chinese Medicine. He finds it incredibly significant and deeply meaningful to not only evaluate the patient's history and establish the diagnosis, but also administer the therapy.
He has been in practice for more than 13 years and has seen almost 15,000 patients. (Licensed only as an Acupuncturist in WA State).
