Kathleen Albertson graduated from SAMRA University of Oriental Medicine in 1995. She has been in private practice for over 15 years and currently practices out of Irvine, California. She became interested in TCM as a result of her own injuries and acupuncture treatments when TCM helped resolve a chronic back injury she suffered for over 20 years. She specializes in women’s heath issues and fertility, and authored a book in 2009 titled Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine for Women’s Health: Bridging the Gap between Western and Eastern Medicine.
She holds a Ph.D in Holistic Nutrition. She continues to write and lecture on the importance of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and fosters better education and integration of Western and Eastern methodology. She feels that “acupuncture and herbal medicine is underutilized and undervalued as a primary treatment tool.” Her goal is to improve patient care and outcomes.
