Julia Wu, L.Ac., is a Board Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California. In addition to her extensive training in Chinese Medicine, graduating with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, Julia received her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California Berkeley.
She chose to specialize in Traditional Chinese Medicine because of the connection to her cultural heritage, and because of her deep-seated belief in natural holistic health care. Julia was particularly drawn to the fact that Chinese Medicine is tailored to each individual, is completely natural, and always targets the root of the problem.
During her training as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Julia devoted much of her time to the scientific research of the efficacy of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and how to successfully communicate the remarkable results that acupuncture and herbs can achieve in patients to the western scientific and healthcare communities.
As a practitioner, Julia utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to healing. She believes that a complete approach to healing, including acupuncture, cupping, Tui-Na, herbology, nutritional counseling, and life style recommendations, is the best approach to promoting overall health and wellness. Julia has experienced great success using this integrated approach to healing conditions such as fertility problems, Fibromyalgia, pain disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, and stress management.
