Heng-Wei Chang 張恆偉, Doctor of Chinese Medicine (Taiwan)
As a child, Dr. Heng-Wei Chang was constantly sick so he vowed to be a TCM doctor one day. As an engineering major in college, he met his first TCM teacher in 1997 and began to pursue his dream of becoming a TCM doctor.
After college, he enrolled at China Medical University in Taiwan. After receiving his degree and license, he became the attending physician, and subsequently, the Chief Resident of the Department of Acupuncture at his alma mater. Dr. Chang was very active in spreading the pearls of TCM and participated in numerous speaking events. He became the Vice-Secretary-General of the Chinese Medical Association of Acupuncture in Taiwan and is currently the Chairperson of the Traditional Chinese Medical Essence Association.
In Dr. Chang’s private practice at Heng Yuan Tang Chinese Medical Clinic, he treats over 70 patients daily. His specialty is in post stroke and brain injury patients. His treatment concept includes balancing the 5 Zang organs with current medical knowledge to improve the patient’s overall health. The focus is to not merely alleviate symptoms, but to re-establish balance in the body so they don’t have to seek medical attention.
