Dr. David Karaba has been a tireless advocate of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. He is a founding member of the National Guild of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a contributing member of the Foundation for Acupuncture Research which is currently in the second edition of the Acupuncture Electroacupuncture Evidenced Based Guidelines. He has contributed to several books and publications including Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology, Chinese Herbal Formulas and Applications, and the nationally recognized Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture Evidenced Based Guidelines. Dr. Karaba has lectured extensively to the general public, fellow acupuncturists and medical doctors alike on various topics, including the history and development of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, the scientific and physiological aspects of acupuncture, Taijiquan, and the reduction of falls in the elderly, pain management, arthritis, stress, and other disorders helped by acupuncture and integrative medicine.
