Anne Bailey graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Prior to studying traditional Chinese medicine, she earned a master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Anne worked in research at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for many years and have worked as an acupuncturist at an Indian Health Services(IHS) clinic in Southern California for the past ten years. At the IHS clinic, she was offered the support and opportunity to obtain NIH-CAM funding to study the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with acupuncture. It was through her work on this study that she became aware of the body of research literature on acupuncture and nitric oxide.
