CTCMA Renewal Requirements

50 CEU required for reporting on March 31 every 2 years. However, a renewal fee is required each year.

  • In the 2-year reporting period, a minimum of 6 out of 50 hours have to be in person (face-to-face) and they may be activities under categories A and/or C. A minimum of 4 hours must focus on ethical practice.
  • Compliance with the Continuing Competency Requirements Policy is required for renewing registration with the College.
  • Category A includes “direct participatory, formal programs” that include live in-person or online interactive workshops, seminars, or training when attendance is taken and monitored; or electronically offered continuing education when attendance is taken and monitored and when there is an assessment tool for the course.
  • Category B includes “self study” such as review of academic journals, professional publications, bylaws and standards, and include online and distance learning courses and webinars when no attendance is taken and/or when no assessment tool is available.
  • Category C includes “structured interactive activities” which can be regularly scheduled or routine consultations with peers or case conferences.
