Japanese Palpation & Acupuncture: Pain

Japanese palpation technique is highlighted by a practical and efficient method designed to produce immediate feedback. In this course, Avi Magidoff and Philip Tan, two experienced acupuncturists who have studied with Kiiko Matsumoto for a combined 35 years, share their experiences in Japanese palpation technique. In this course, learn strategies for the treatment of pain disorders of both musculoskeletal and organic pain. Examination of root treatments as well as the “trick” to address various pain types will be shared.

Topics in this course focuses on: the structural diagnosis for pain syndromes and how to treat the following pain syndromes: back, lower extremities, various tissues (nerve, joint, ligament, bone), neck, upper extremities, and nervous system disorders (reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSDS), neuropathy, etc.).

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

• Understand structural imbalances
• Understand the role of internal medical conditions and how to address them to resolve pain issues
• Obtain protocols for the treatment of various pain syndromes
