At some point in time during their practices, most licensed acupuncturists will encounter personal injury cases. Personal injury cases are more complex in that there is a legality aspect to these cases that might eventually involve lawyers, insurance adjusters, members of jury and judges.

In this course, Eric Chen, Attorney at Law, will present to practitioners the necessary steps and procedures required in personal injury cases in order to provide the patient with the best care, as well as help them maximize their recovery.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

Evaluate a personal injury case and complete a detailed examination to document the injury history
Write a medical report and ensure that the medical records are complete and sufficient
Know what is considered “valid authorization” for releasing medical records and the procedures in releasing the records
Understand the various forms of payment in personal injury cases and the pros and cons of each
